These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the website selvadroptaxi.in and to every taxi service booked with Selva Drop Taxi (“we”, “us”, “our”), based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. By using our website or confirming a booking by call, WhatsApp or form, you (“customer”, “you”) agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Our Services

We provide one way drop taxi, round trip taxi, outstation cab, airport transfer, corporate travel and family or group travel services from Chennai to destinations across Tamil Nadu and nearby states. Services are subject to vehicle and driver availability.

2. Booking and Confirmation

You can book by phone call, WhatsApp or our website enquiry form.
A booking is confirmed only when we confirm it to you by call or message, with the pickup details, vehicle category and fare.
Please give correct pickup address, drop location, date, time, number of passengers and contact number. We are not responsible for problems caused by wrong or incomplete information.
Vehicle models shown on our website are examples of each category. We may provide a similar vehicle of the same category.

3. Fares and Charges

One way trips: fare = KM rate × distance + driver bata.
Round trips: fare = KM rate × total distance + driver bata for each day of travel.
The KM rate and driver bata for each vehicle are shown on our Tariff page. The fare we confirm at the time of booking applies to your trip.
Minimum running per day: 130 km for one way trips, 250 km for round trips and 300 km for Karnataka trips. If the actual distance is less, the minimum is charged.
Distances shown on our website are approximate. The distance travelled for your trip decides the final fare.
Rates may change without prior notice, but a confirmed booking will not be changed.

4. Extra Charges

The following are not included in the fare and are paid by the customer as per actuals, unless we tell you otherwise at the time of booking:

Toll gate charges
Parking charges
State entry tax and interstate permit charges
Hill station charges
Waiting charges, if the vehicle is kept waiting beyond the agreed time
Any other charge we tell you about before the trip begins

5. Payment

Payment amount and method are told to you at the time of booking. We may ask for an advance to confirm a booking. The remaining amount, including extra charges, is paid to us or as instructed at the end of the trip. Please collect a receipt for any payment you make.

6. Cancellations and Changes

If you need to cancel or change a booking, please tell us as early as possible by phone or WhatsApp. Cancellation terms and any charges are told to you at the time of booking and follow our Cancellation Policy. Refunds, if any, are made as stated in that policy.

7. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

Be ready at the pickup point at the agreed time
Carry valid identification and any documents required for the journey
Not exceed the seating capacity of the vehicle
Not carry illegal goods, weapons or dangerous items
Not smoke or consume alcohol inside the vehicle
Treat the driver and the vehicle with respect
Pay for any damage or special cleaning caused by you or your co-passengers

We may end a trip without refund if a passenger behaves in a way that puts the driver, other passengers or the vehicle at risk.

8. Drivers, Vehicles and Safety

Our vehicles are driven by drivers who hold a valid driving licence.
The driver decides the route and stops for rest, food and safety. Please follow the driver’s reasonable instructions.
Seat belts must be worn as required by law.
The driver may refuse or stop a trip if road, weather or safety conditions are unsafe.

9. Delays and Events Beyond Our Control

Travel time shown on our website is an estimate. We are not responsible for delays or changes to your trip caused by traffic, road closures, accidents, bad weather, strikes, government orders, vehicle breakdown or other events beyond our control. If a vehicle breaks down, we will try to arrange a replacement as soon as reasonably possible.

If you have a flight, train or other connection, please plan extra time for the journey. We are not responsible for missed flights, trains or events.

10. Luggage and Belongings

You are responsible for your luggage and personal belongings during the trip. Please check the vehicle before leaving it. We are not responsible for items left behind, but we will try to help you recover them if you contact us quickly.

11. Limit of Our Responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of business, missed appointments or additional expenses. Our responsibility for any claim related to a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under applicable consumer protection law, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Website Use and Content

The content on this website, including text, logo, images and design, belongs to Selva Drop Taxi and may not be copied or used without our permission.
We try to keep information on the website accurate, but it may contain errors or become out of date. Fares and availability are confirmed only at booking.
Please do not misuse the website, send false enquiries or try to disrupt it.

13. Privacy

We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Any dispute that cannot be resolved will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be on this page with its “Last updated” date. Using our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
